Budget The commissioners said the budget call leter should indicate that budget limita�ons will include budgeted salaries and benefits – including CBAs and COLAs – and interfunds, with opera�ons to be held at 2022 actuals. The commissioners said they’d like to adver�se for a District 2 vacancy on the Ci�zens Advisory Commitee. Becky Butler said the Sheriff’s Office has requested a budget increase to cover over�me. The commissioners said they’d like to review posi�ons le� vacant for six months or more as part of their budget-se�ng process. The commissioners discussed the proposed 911 sales tax. They said they’d like to add a recital in the resolu�on about the new governance. Opioid setlement funding The commissioners said they’d like to use exis�ng opioid funding to cover funding for the Youth Advocacy Center (YAC). Becky noted that the county has received the OK to proceed with the purchase of Narcan. American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Becky noted that the State Auditor’s Office is reviewing all ARPA contracts as part of its annual audit. Commissioner Brummer made a mo�on to extend Lewis County’s contract with BerryDunn for $100,000 for 2023-24. Commissioner Pollock seconded. Mo�on passed 3-0. Broadband Becky said the county is having regular mee�ngs with ToledoTel to ensure all partners are working within the contract specifics. Procurement Becky said a so� launch for the new procurement so�ware is planned for Aug. 1. Mee�ng ended at 2:52 p.m.
