Becky Butler reviewed budget projections for 2024 revenues and expenditures:
• No increase in sales tax
• 1 percent increase in property tax
• Optimistic increase of $3.3 million in investment interest
• 5 percent increase in expenditures
Becky said those figures would lead to a $4.2 million to $6 million use of fund balance.
The group discussed potential cost-cutting measures.
The board confirmed that they want the call letter to direct offices and departments to use 2022 actuals
for operating costs.
