Agenda changes: Commissioner Pollock made a motion to add to the Nov. 7, 2023, Business Meeting
the following:
• Resolution 23-354: Approve Consolidated Contract #CLH31017 Amendment #15 between the
Washington State Department of Health (DOH) and Lewis County
• Resolution 23-357: Appoint Jeff Skutley to the Lewis County Planning Commission
• Resolution 23-358: Appoint Ricardo Barrientes to the Great Rivers Behavioral Health
Administrative Services Organization (BH-ASO) Advisory Board
• Resolution 23-359: Appoint Greg Rohr to the Lewis-Mason-Thurston Area Agency on Aging
(LMTAAA) Advisory Council
Commissioner Brummer seconded. Motion passed 2-0.
Assessor’s Office software: Assessor Ross Nielson and Treasurer Arny Davis discussed the imperative
need to replace the Ascend software the two offices use for property taxes. They said the Assessor’s
Office pays $155,000 and the Treasurer’s Office pays $90,000 for maintenance for the 25-year-old,
obsolete software, which is not supported. They said the situation is becoming an emergency and that
they will need help identifying the funding source for the replacement software.
911 update – extension for current interlocal agreement: Jenn Libby-Jones said the interlocal
agreement expires at the end of the year and would need to be amended to extend it through June.
911 new governance planning: Jenn and Commissioner Brummer discussed plans for a new 911
governing board. Commissioner Brummer discussed the roles being considered. Commissioner Pollock
expressed concerns about the balance of representation.
Rieva Lester discussed a Nov. 7 Veterans Day event and plans for Dec. 5 Drug Court graduations.
Economic Alliance request for letter of support for CEDS grant: The commissioners said they would like
to discuss the letter with Economic Alliance later in the day.
