Year-to-date cases: Warren McLeod said the Coroner’s Office has responded to 748 deaths year to date,
including:
• 4 homicides
• 17 suicides
• 49 accidental deaths
• 39 drug-related deaths
• 3 undetermined cases
• 1 pending testing
• 74 autopsies
Warren discussed the cost breakdown of an overdose case. The average cost is $107,952 and 2024
projected costs are $118,720.
Becky Butler and Warren discussed how Warren is working with WACME and WACO for potential opioid
funding.
Warren said there are 4 veteran remains that will be interned on Friday at Tahoma National Cemetery.
The procession will leave at 8 a.m. from the Veterans Memorial Museum.
