Erika Katt invited county leaders to attend emergency management training scheduled for December.
Roundtable
Participants shared updates, including the following:
• Toledo Mayor Pro Tem Eric Hayes expressed concerns regarding costs associated with the
incarceration of a school employee accused of abusing students.
• Centralia City Manager Rob Hill discussed work being done regarding housing.
• Cameron Cochran said Congresswoman Gluesenkamp Perez is opening a satellite office in Kelso.
• Eric Eisenberg provided updates on the shelter and the county’s work on the Comprehensive
Plan.
• Kyle Markstrom discussed groundbreaking for a new Winco.
• Jill Anderson discussed a vacancy on the Chehalis City Council, downtown revitalization work
and the Bishop Road .09 project.
• Paul Mason provided updates on WSDOT projects.
Commissioner Brummer suggested switching to a bimonthly format for the Mayors’ Meeting. He said
staff would reach out to area mayors to gauge their interest.
Commissioner Brummer encouraged mayors to share any legislative requests with the county.
