Public comment: None.
Agenda change: Commissioner Pollock made a motion to add to the Dec. 19, 2023, Business Meeting
Resolution 23-403: Authorize Lee Napier, Director of Community Development, to sign contract 2023-
GEN-006 between Kimley-Horn and Lewis County for the Comprehensive Plan Periodic Update.
Commissioner Brummer seconded. Motion passed 3-0.
Request for Timberland Regional Library Board of Trustees letters of support: Rieva Lester said the
commissioners have been asked to provide letters of support regarding two TRL Board of Trustee
positions:
• Thurston County TRL reappointment of Mary Beth Harrington
• Grays Harbor County appointment of Dustin Loup
The commissioners declined to provide letters of support at this time. They said they would like a
chance to speak with TRL Director Cheryl Heywood before processing the requested letters. The
commissioners directed staff to reach out to TRL to schedule an update.
BOCC approval regarding manifest error correction for property assessment: Assessor Ross Nielson and
Lynn Richard said the Assessor’s Office has found a manifest error regarding a mobile home that was
removed from a property several years ago. They said the Assessor’s Office can make three years of
corrections but that going back further back than that would require commissioner approval. The
commissioners said they will support the correction. They directed staff to reach out to the PA’s Office
to best determine how to apply the retroactive correction.
