Public comment: None.
Mindy Brooks discussed a resolution to reappoint Frank Corbin and Gretchen Fritsch to the Lewis County
Planning Commission. The commissioners directed staff to check to see if there were additional
applications submitted.
Josh Metcalf discussed a resolution to approve a contract supplemental agreement with Northwest
Hydraulic Consultants for the Shorey Road Bank Stabilization Project, ER-2101(001).
Commissioner Swope made a motion to move two consent items and two deliberation items to the
Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2024, BOCC Business Meeting agenda. Commissioner Brummer seconded. Motion
passed 2-0.
Commissioner Swope made a motion to add to the agenda the Emergency Management Emergency
Planner position. Commissioner Brummer seconded. Motion passed 2-0.
Roundtable
Attendees provided department updates.
Becky Butler noted that the 2023 budget would be open two more months.
Ryan Barrett reminded the directors of an upcoming Risk Management update.
Wednesday Workshop
Coastal Community Action Project presentation (Craig Dublanko) to take place during Jan. 9 Business
Meeting: Commissioner Swope discussed the upcoming presentation.
Timberland Regional Library Board of Trustees appointments / meetings: The commissioners said they
would sign a letter of support regarding the Grays Harbor appointment. They directed staff to invite TRL
for a state of the library update.
Lodging Tax Advisory Committee recommendations: The commissioners said they are in support of the
LTAC members’ recommendations regarding 2024 funding for the East Lewis County Chamber of
Commerce ($48,000) and the Facilities roof project ($15,000).
Centralia-Chehalis Chamber of Commerce membership: The commissioners said they will consider the
membership depending on the total amount.
Emergency Management Emergency Planner position: Commissioner Swope made a motion to
approve the reclassify the Emergency Management Emergency Planner position from a 122 to a 124
effective Jan. 16, 2024. Commissioner Brummer seconded. Motion passed 2-0.
