Execu�ve session: At 9:01 a.m., Commissioner Brummer announced that the Board would be going into
execu�ve session under RCW 42.30.110(1)(i) un�l 9:11 a.m. to discuss poten�al li�ga�on regarding an
employment issue.
• At 9:11 a.m., Commissioner Brummer extended execu�ve session un�l 9:16 a.m.
• At 9:16 a.m., Commissioner Brummer extended execu�ve session un�l 9:19 a.m.
Execu�ve session ended at 9:19 a.m. Commissioner Brummer noted that no decisions had been made.
Shad Hail requested the BOCC support moving the Guardian Ad Litem program from its Royal Bakery
loca�on to the Juvenile center. He said the move will improve discussed safety, efficiency and poten�al
savings. The commissioners said they support the move.
SB 6164 DEM: Josh Metcalf discussed concerns regarding SB 6164, which would require addi�onal steps
in the event of spills. Josh said the proposal would be �me-consuming and labor intensive.
Legisla�ve update: Josh Weiss and Troy Nichols provided updates on proposed legisla�on. Josh noted
that a poten�al subs�tute for SB 6164 would address some of Josh’s concerns. Josh and Troy noted that
Rep. Orcut’s bill regarding financial support for the Southwest Washington Fair con�nues to move
forward.
Homeless shelter update: Eric Eisenberg provided updates on construc�on at the shelter.
RAISE grant leter of support: Eric Eisenberg said Lewis County Transit would like to apply for a planning
grant and is reques�ng a leter of support. The commissioners said they would plan to sign the leter
Feb. 14.
