Inslee’s office, Caitlyn Harrington of Sen. Murray’s office, Sarah Kohout of Rep. Gluesenkamp Perez’s office, Lee Napier, Jennette Queen of Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT), Paul Mason of WSDOT, Stacy Davis, Stephen Dunk, Pe Ell Mayor Lonnie Willey, Kyle Markstrom, Richard DeBolt, Vader Mayor Joe Schey, John Abplanalp Guest(s): Recorder: Rieva Lester Public comment: None. Centralia Mayor Kelly Smith Johnston discussed the need for local, state and federal help to keep Hope Alliance from closing. Kristine Rompa of Puget Sound Energy (PSE) discussed PSE’s plans to construct a green hydrogen “peaker plant.” Mayor Johnston invited the group to Claquato Church’s May 23 burial of a recently identified World War II POW from Centralia. Commissioner Swope and Mayor Johnston discussed a coordinated effort with Centralia College to provide housing for homeless students age 18 and older. Commissioner Brummer left at 9:22 a.m. Paul Mason said he has accepted a promotion with the Washington State Department of Transportation and that Jennette Queen will fill his vacancy at least temporarily. Jennette Queen provided updates on WSDOT projects. John Abplanalp invited county residents to participate in a Public Health and Social Services poll. Meeting ended at 9:26 a.m.
