Public comment: None.
ILA with Chehalis: Commissioner Pollock made a motion to add to the May 7 Business Meeting
Resolution 24-142: Approve an amendment to the Interlocal Agreement between the City of Chehalis
and Lewis County and authorize the County Manager’s signature thereon. Commissioner Swope
seconded. Motion passed 3-0.
Open bids for the Mountain View Cemetery: Becky Butler opened the three bids received for the
Mountain View Cemetery, noting that the county will award the property to the best bid, not necessarily
the highest bid.
• Brad Frederickson: $5,000
• Roger Moore: $2,550
• Steven Morrison: $2,001
The commissioners directed staff to review the bids and provide an analysis May 13.
CRAB Certificate of Good Standing: The commissioners said they’d like to honor Public Works staff for
their achievements.
Committee vacancies:
• Board of Equalization - six applications received, including apps from four incumbents.
• Lodging Tax Advisory Committee (LTAC) – one additional “provider” application received.
The commissioners directed staff to draft resolutions to appoint all of the applicants above.
Minute folders: Commissioner Pollock made a motion to approve minute folders for the weeks of Dec.
18, 2023; Feb. 5, 12, 19 and 26, 2024; and March 4, 11 and 18, 2024.
Night-by-night shelter: At 9:15 a.m., Commissioner Brummer announced that the Board would be going
into executive session under RCW 42.30.110(1)(i) until 9:19 a.m. to discuss the night-by-night shelter.
Executive session ended at 9:19 a.m. Commissioner Brummer noted that no decisions had been made.
Commissioner Swope discussed openings on the WSAC board.
The commissioners discussed correspondence received in complaint of wet conditions at the
fairgrounds during the Spring Youth Fair.
Meeting ended at 9:25 a.m.
