Josh Metcalf discussed a resolution regarding the extended closure of Shorey Road to all through traffic
between Milepost 0.00 to Milepost 0.72.
Josh Metcalf discussed a resolution regarding the extended closure of Logan Hill Road to all through
traffic at Milepost 0.103.
Ryan Barrett discussed a resolution to list the proposals received and vendor selected for the Lewis
County Security System Design and Installation for the new Community Development and Information
Services building.
Charles Edmonson discussed a resolution to approve Amendment No. 1 to Noxious Weed Contract
K4611 with the state Department of Agriculture.
Doug Carey discussed a resolution to approve interlocal agreement with City of Centralia for Engineering
Services relating to the SWW Fairgrounds Waterline Rehabilitation Project.
Doug Carey discussed a resolution to ratify signature for the Law and Justice center NCM HVAC
controller replacement contract.
Josh Metcalf discussed a resolution to approve an interlocal agreement with Napavine for services
required to complete development of fish passage structure designs at two sites crossing Ripple Creek.
Becky Butler discussed a resolution to approve a contract for Public Defender Indigent Defense Services
between Lewis County and Rachael Tiller, Defender of the Day.
Becky Butler discussed a resolution to amend Resolution #02-207 adding $20,000 to the Workers
Compensation Imprest Account.
BJ Kuykendall discussed a resolution to approve land-use agreement with White Pass Country Historical
Society regarding property at 12990 U.S. Highway 12 in Packwood. Commissioner Pollock said she’d like
to see a financial plan covering the next 25 years.
Rieva Lester discussed a resolution to appoint Donald Clevinger to the Civil Service Commission.
Commissioner Swope made a motion to move two notice items, two consent items and nine
deliberation items to the Tuesday, June 18, 2024, BOCC agenda. Commissioner Pollock seconded.
Motion passed 2-0.
Wednesday Workshop
Executive session: At 9:26 a.m., Commissioner Pollock announced that the Board would be going into
executive session under RCW 42.30.110(1)(i) until 9:47 a.m. to discuss two topics: Mossyrock insurance
claim and Sierra Pacific tax appeal.
At 9:47 a.m., Commissioner Pollock extended executive session until 9:50 a.m.
Executive session ended at 9:50 a.m. Commissioner Pollock noted that no decisions had been made.
Commissioner Swope made a motion to authorize the Assessor to have full settlement authority
regarding the Sierra Pacific tax litigation on June 14. Commissioner Pollock seconded. Motion passed
2-0.
Commissioner Swope made a motion to authorize the settlement negotiations regarding the
Mossyrock insurance claim matter to continue as discussed in executive session. Commissioner
Pollock seconded. Motion passed 2-0.
