Becky Butler said the county has expended roughly $4.1 million in its American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding. Office and department representatives provided the following updates on ARPA projects: • Doug Carey: Contractor for the Fairgrounds water system project should be on contract by the end of June. The Engineer’s Estimate for the project is $890,000. • Shad Hail: Superior Court has spent roughly $155,000 of the $500,000 it was awarded. The Youth Mentorship Program currently serves 24 young people with the help of 12 one-on-one mentors and seven group mentors. • Jenn Libby-Jones: The RFP for 911’s $4.5 million radio infrastructure project closed May 9. County staff is evaluating the three responses the county received. • BJ Kuykendall: All $70,000 earmarked for the Mountain View Cemetery will have been expended by the time the county transfers ownership of the cemetery. • Grace Jimenez: The contract for the cost allocation has been awarded to Matrix Consulting Group for payments totaling up to $28,000. • Matt Jaeger: Microsoft 365 and Cisco projects are complete. Considering using leftover technology funds to cover a case management system for Risk and HR to use. Becky said all of the external ARPA projects – including those for the Fox Theatre, Roxy Theater, Vader Water and the Napavine park project – are wrapping up and may be complete within the next quarter. The group discussed drafting a resolution to approve a contract with Tyler regarding property tax software needed for the Assessor’s Office and Treasurer’s Office. Meeting adjourned at 1:32 p.m.
