Agenda changes: Commissioner Pollock made a mo�on to add Resolu�on 24-341: Issue call for bids for
up to six new pursuit-rated SUVs to the agenda for the Aug. 6, 2024, Business Mee�ng. Commissioner
Swope seconded. Josh Metcalf discussed the proposal. Mo�on passed 3-0.
Commissioner Pollock made a mo�on to add Resolu�on 24-342: Issue call for bids for public safety radio
power and batery backup system to the agenda for the Aug. 6, 2024, Business Mee�ng. Commissioner
Swope seconded. Jenn Libby-Jones discussed the proposal. Mo�on passed 3-0.
Commissioner Pollock made a mo�on to add Resolu�on 24-349: Amend land-use agreement with White
Pass Country Historical Society regarding property at 12990 U.S. Highway 12 in Packwood. Commissioner
Swope seconded. David Bailey discussed the proposal. Mo�on failed, with all three commissioners
vo�ng against it.
Risk Manager posi�on: Becky Butler said HR’s analysis placed the Risk Manager posi�on at a Grade 128
or 129 but that based on local needs, Becky said she and Ryan feel a Grade 125 is appropriate. The
commissioners said they support pos�ng the posi�on at a grade 125.
Tort claim reviews: At 9:15 a.m., Commissioner Brummer announced that the Board would be going
into executive session under RCW 42.30.110(1)(i) until 9:25 a.m. to discuss two topics: Landry and
WSDOT / Koontz.
At 9:25 a.m., Commissioner Brummer extended executive session until 9:28 a.m. Executive session
ended at 9:28 a.m. Commissioner Brummer noted that no decisions had been made.
American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) transfers: Becky Butler reviewed ARPA alloca�ons. She noted that any
savings have been moved to the Lost Revenue category. She recommended transferring $58,000 from
the $6.6 million in Lost Revenue to the General Fund in a future budget amendment.
Lodging Tax Advisory Commitee vacancy: Rieva Lester said Dean Croshaw has sold Packwood Sta�on
and no longer qualifies to serve on the commitee. The commissioners directed her to post the vacancy.
