Public comment: None.
Josh Metcalf discussed a resolution to issue call for bids for up to four new pickup trucks.
Tammy Martin discussed a resolution to appoint / reappoint four full-time members to the Lewis County
Dangerous Animal Designation (DAD) Board. The commissioners discussed the applicants and said they
would revisit the resolution the following week.
Josh Metcalf discussed a resolution to accept a bid on tax title property off of Airport Road in Chehalis.
Josh Metcalf discussed the vacation of a portion of undeveloped Roppert Road.
Ryan Barrett discussed an ordinance to add Chapter 3.80 to Lewis County Code to establish Sales and
Use Tax for Emergency 911 Communications Systems and Facilities.
Commissioner Pollock made a motion to move one notice item, two consent items, one deliberation
item – the tax title property sale – and two hearings to the Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2025, BOCC Business
Meeting agenda. Commissioner Swope seconded. Motion passed 3-0.
Announcements
Rieva Lester reminded the group about Public Records Act training planned for later in the day and Open
Public Meetings Act training planned for sometime in the next two months.
Josh Metcalf said the city of Chehalis has reached out about the possibility of annexing the industrial
area on Jackson Highway.
Commissioner Brummer reminded the group that employee recognition will take place Jan. 14.
