2025 Legislative Session updates: Josh Weiss said he has been asked to have the county resubmit
funding requests for its transportation requests.
Josh discussed several proposed bills, including the following:
• 5005: The commissioners asked that Chief Chris Sweet review and weigh in on the bill.
• 1183: The commissioners asked that Mindy Brooks review and weigh in on the bill.
• 1195: The commissioners said they oppose the bill.
• 1098: The commissioners said they support the bill.
Executive session: At 9:18 a.m., Commissioner Brummer announced that the Board would be going into
executive session under RCW 42.30.110(1)(i) until 9:28 a.m. to discuss the following two topics:
• Fire 15
• JH / RP / DF lawsuit (Case No. 25-2-00171-34)
At 9:27 a.m., Commissioner Brummer extended executive session until 9:31 a.m.
Executive session ended at 9:31 a.m. Commissioner Brummer noted that no decisions had been made.
