SW Washington Regional Transportation Planning Organization (SWRTPO): Cowlitz-Wahkiakum
Council of Governments (CWCOG) Senior Transportation Planner Robert Stevens and COG Executive
Director Bill Fashing discussed the work their entity performs and invited meeting participants to attend
COG transportation policy forums scheduled to take place in Chehalis on June 2 and Nov. 3.
988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline presentation: Great Rivers Behavioral Health Administrative Services
Organization (GRBH-ASO) Chief Executive Director Trinidad Medina, GRBH-ASO Assisted Outpatient
Treatment Coordinator Amanda Moore and others discussed efforts to encourage the state to select
Olympic Health and Recovery Services as Washington’s 988 Crisis Line Call Center in an effort to ensure
the Lewis County area continues to have access to locally-provided care.
Urban growth area (UGA) interlocal agreement (ILA) for co-management: Mindy Brooks invited
participants to attend the Planned Growth Committee meetings to join discussions regarding UGAs.
American Medical Response (AMR) closure: Chehalis Fire Chief Adam Fulbright said AMR transportation
increased its costs, prompting organizations to move to Medex. He reviewed the effects of the changes
on local emergency responders.
Roundtable / announcements / new business
Commissioner Brummer discussed America250, the celebration of the United States’ semi-
quincentennial. He noted that Discover Lewis County will lead local efforts.

Resource-sharing opportunities and requests for assistance or input
Commissioner Swope and others shared concerns regarding proposals to slash funding for the Recovery
Navigator program. Commissioner Swope also expressed concerns regarding nitrate pollution from the
state’s pheasant game farm in Centralia.
State, federal and local representatives provided updates on their governmental activities.
