Department of Archeology for 2021-2023 Historic Courthouse Preservation grant
Commissioner Swope made a motion to add to the June 10, 2025, BOCC Business Meeting agenda the
Resolution 25-159 through Resolution 25-164. Commissioner Pollock seconded. Motion passed 2-0.
Executive session: At 9:10 a.m., Commissioner Pollock announced that the Board would be going into
executive session under RCW 42.30.110(1)(i) until 9:25 a.m. to discuss potential litigation regarding
transfer of county property and potential litigation regarding Estrada claim.
• At 9:25 a.m., Commissioner Pollock extended executive session until 9:27 a.m.
• At 9:27 a.m., Commissioner Pollock extended executive session until 9:32 a.m.
• At 9:32 a.m., Commissioner Pollock extended executive session until 9:35 a.m.
Executive session ended at 9:35 a.m. Commissioner Pollock noted that no decisions had been made.
Commissioner Swope made a motion to authorize outside counsel to engage in settlement discussions
regarding the Estrada case as discussed in executive session. Commissioner Pollock seconded. Motion
passed 2-0.
Commissioner Swope made a motion to add a resolution to establish a covenant for the Claquato
Church to the June 10, 2025, BOCC Business Meeting. Commissioner Pollock seconded. Motion passed
2-0.
2026 Facilities rates: Becky Butler discussed the need to credit back overages from collected Facilities
rates. Becky said the rates could be returned in whole now or phased in, with half returned now and half
returned next year.
Change order: Becky Butler said Kifer Construction is completing its work at the Fairgrounds. She said
she is recommending a change order of roughly $150,000 to complete work on the north end.
