State Auditor’s Office representatives Lisa Carrell, Jade Chamberlain and Katie Gravett provided
overviews of the audit process. They said the audit covers the time period of Jan. 1 to Dec. 31, 2024, and
will focus on the following areas:
• Accountability: Cash receipting, payroll, self-insurance, theft-sensitive assets, credit cards, state
grants, Open Public Meetings Act adherence and financial condition.
• Financial: Internal control and compliance.
• Federal grant compliance: Internal control and compliance over major programs.
