1. New Tort Claim –
a. Damaged PUD power pole - $3249.99 – We will be paying this
claim
b. Julianne Alvord – Dog Bite – unkown – Paulette is working with
the claimant to come to a resolution
c. Wade Pierce – unlawful imprisonment - $911,750 – We will not
be taking any action on this claim. Unfounded.
2. Drug and Alcohol Policy Update – Paulette is still working with Archie
to approach the Unions on the Radom portion of the policy
3. Open Tort Claims/Lawsuits Discussion – We did not discuss this due
to lack of time
4. Workers Comp/Alternate Duty/Light Duty Discussion – We did not
discuss this due to lack of time
5. Emergency Evacuation Plans – Paulette will have a County wide plan
for review in January
6. Accident Prevention Program – The Emergency Evacuation Plan and
the new Hazcom Policy will be the first part of the County Wide
Accident Prevention Program.
7. Discussion regarding the closing of the Packwood airport. Paulette
suggested that the BOCC look into establishing a Lewis County Port
District. It was noted by the BOCC that they would look into it.
