2015-11-16 Capital Maintenance MeetingCapital Maintenance Meeting November 16, 2015 11:00 am Present: Commissioners Fund, Stamper and Schulte, Michael Strozyk, Larry Grove, Suzette Smith, Steve Walton, Cheryl Millman, and Becky Butler Reporter: Karri Muir Replenishing fund 301, Current Land Acquisition Steve reported that it was discussed to change the name to Capital Repair and Maintenance Fund. There was discussion on how to replenish this fund. The current balance is approximately $400,000. There was discussion taking some sales tax money of about $100,000 per year to build this fund up to a sufficient balance. Larry stated there are other things that need to be funded such as the Financial System Software. How much will be put into this fund and when will it be put in? The targeted amount will be adding $500,000 over the next three years. There was discussion on how this funding would come about. There was discussion on using the Animal Shelter endowment for the new sewer system. Mike will write a resolution changing the name of the fund. There was discussion on the rent monies and where they would go. It was also discussed how the REET money would be spent. There was also discussion facilities included this funding in their rates for large purchases. Kresky Building rent will go into 301 along with what has been paid to date. In 2017 Facilities ER&R rates will go up by 5% or a replacement plan and will go into this fund also. Public Works will also be charged for their portion of the Finance System. The Animal Shelter bequest will be looked for funding the septic system. Becky gave the copy of the Budget PowerPoint for tonight’s meeting. Commissioner Fund discussed our 911 Department. Michael discussed the issues with the Commissioners. He is working with the 911 Manager and he may be leaving at the beginning of the year. Commissioner Fund discussed the WP Scenic Byway and the contract asking for a bid for anything over $5,000. Meeting ended at 12:30 pm
