2025-07-28 Wrap-Up CMBOCC Wrap-Up / County Manager Update July 28, 2025 9 a.m. Present: Commissioner Brummer (by phone), Commissioner Pollock, Commissioner Swope, County Manager Ryan Barrett, Becky Butler, David Bailey, Meja Handlen, Gabe Anzelini, John Abplanalp, Kirsty Ward, Sarah Hensley, Sherri Dokken Guest(s): Recorder: Rieva Lester Public comment: None. Executive session: At 9 a.m., Commissioner Pollock announced that the Board would be going into executive session under RCW 42.30.110(1)(i) until 9:05 a.m. to discuss the Napavine Boundary Line Adjustment (BLA). At 9:05 a.m., Commissioner Pollock extended executive session until 9:08 a.m. Executive session ended at 9:08 a.m. Commissioner Pollock noted that no decisions had been made. Water lab: Meja Handlen provided an overview of a draft press release outlining changes to the water lab’s hours effective Sept. 1. The commissioners said they approve the press release. IT reorg: Gabe Anzelini outlined the proposed reorganization of IT. Commissioner Swope made a motion to approve the IT reorg as presented effective Aug. 1. Commissioner Brummer seconded. Motion passed 3-0. Water District 1 vacancy: Commissioner Swope made a motion to appoint Misty Chapman to Position 3 on Water District 1 as outlined in RCW 42.12.080(4). Commissioner Brummer seconded. Motion passed 3-0. WSAC Conference in November: Commissioner Brummer said he will not attend. Commissioner Pollock and Commissioner Swope said they would like to attend. Becky Butler directed Kate Chatterton to provide cost estimates for the conference, including registration, flights and hotel stays. Meeting ended at 9:21 a.m.
