At 9:31 a.m., Commissioner Brummer announced that the Board would be going into executive session
under RCW 42.30.110(1)(i) until 9:46 a.m. to discuss four topics: Logistics Property Co., Sean Klamn
lawsuit, Gather Church and Centralia / Port mediation.
• At 9:46 a.m., Commissioner Brummer extended executive session until 9:56 a.m.
• At 9:56 a.m., Commissioner Brummer extended executive session until 10 a.m.
• At 10 a.m., Commissioner Brummer extended executive session until 10:03 a.m.
Executive session ended at 10:03 a.m. Commissioner Brummer noted that no decisions had been made.
Commissioner Pollock made a motion to approve both topics discussed in executive session regarding
the Gather Church lawsuit. Commissioner Swope seconded. Motion passed 3-0.
2026 public defense contracts: Becky Butler said the county’s contract attorneys have been given a
deadline of Nov. 7 to submit responses regarding the proposed 2026 public defense contracts.
At 10:06 a.m., Commissioner Brummer announced that the Board would be going into executive session
under RCW 42.30.110(1)(i) until 10:16 a.m. to discuss public defense contracts.
Executive session ended at 10:16 a.m. Commissioner Brummer noted that no decisions had been made.
The commissioners said they will revisit the public defense contracts topic Nov. 10.
Change order: Matt Patana said additional work outside the contract was needed for the water line
project CFP31-2318, leading to a need for a change order totaling just under $93,000.
Commissioner Pollock made a motion to allow the County Manager to sign the change order as
discussed. Commissioner Swope seconded. Motion passed 3-0.
