Angie Hodge provided an overview of HR’s new job recruitment platform, which will launch in April.
DIRECTORS’ UPDATE
Wes Anderson discussed a notice for the temporary closure of Meade Hill Road to all through traffic.

Mindy Brooks discussed a notice of a public hearing to consider approval of Open Space Land
designation and assessed value reduction for parcel Nos. 014731009004 and 014731009006.
Mindy Brooks said she’ll have a late add on Tuesday for a notice of hearing for a rainwater collection
ordinance.
Wes Anderson discussed a resolution for the declaration of surplus equipment. Wes said the equipment
is radioactive and must be disposed of appropriately.
Erika Katt discussed a resolution to accept FEMA Emergency Management Performance Grant (EMPG)
agreement with Washington State Military Department.
Erika Katt discussed a resolution to appoint members to the Lewis County Local Emergency Planning
Committee (LEPC).
Angie Hodge discussed a resolution to approve a collective bargaining agreement (Master Labor
Agreement) and memorandum of understanding (MOU) for Teamsters Local #252, representing four
bargaining units: Lewis County Assessor's Office, Prosecuting Attorney's Office, Combined and
Supervisors, for January 1, 2026, through December 31, 2028.

January 1, 2026, through December 31, 2028.
Mindy Brooks discussed a hearing for Ordinance 1373: Adopt amendments to Lewis County Code
Chapter 2.25, Hearing Examiner.
Rieva Lester discussed a hearing for Ordinance 1374: Update Chapters 3.15.040, 3.45.040 and 3.55.060
of Lewis County Code to allow greater flexibility regarding interest earned within the Lodging, Mental
Health and Noxious Weed Containment Real Property Tax funds.
Commissioner Swope made a motion to move three notice items, two consent items, seven
deliberation items and two hearings to the Tuesday, March 24, 2026, BOCC agenda. Commissioner
Brummer seconded. Motion passed 3-0.
Announcements / new business
Ryan Barrett said the sale of the Kresky Building to the state will be complete later in the day.
Wes Anderson discussed road damage along Davis Lake Road, Coleman Hill Road and Kirkendall Road
caused by recent heavy rainfall. He said staff is seeking state and federal funding for the repairs.
Angie Hodge said HR will be hosting an office assistant intern.
Rocky Lyon discussed upcoming events in recognition of Earth Month.
Gabe Anzelini discussed upcoming changes to the Spillman system.
Meja Handlen said a number of well systems are experiencing issues countywide.
Meja invited the public to an adoption / vaccination event planned for March 21 at the Veterans
Museum.
Commissioner Pollock said there will be no Business Meeting on March 31 (fifth Tuesday) and no
Directors' Update on March 25.
