Public comment: None.
Executive session: At 9 a.m., Commissioner Pollock announced that the Board would be going into
executive session under RCW 42.30.110(1)(i) until 9:15 a.m. to discuss the Bromm litigation, the Malleis
LUPA appeal and Ordinance 1374 (electric motor vessels) with Chief Civil Deputy David Bailey and
outside counsel Michael Dorcy. Joining the commissioners in attendance were Becky Butler and Ryan
Barrett.
• At 9:15 a.m., Commissioner Pollock extended executive session until 9:25 a.m.
• At 9:25 a.m., Commissioner Pollock extended executive session until 9:35 a.m.
• At 9:35 a.m., Commissioner Pollock extended executive session until 9:45 a.m.
• At 9:45 a.m., Commissioner Pollock extended executive session until 9:50 a.m.
• At 9:50 a.m., Commissioner Pollock extended executive session until 9:52 a.m.
Executive session ended at 9:52 a.m. Commissioner Pollock noted that no decisions had been made.
Resolution 26-146: Commissioner Brummer made a motion to approve a nunc pro tunc correction for
Resolution 26-146 to fix a scrivener’s error. Commissioner Pollock seconded. Motion passed 2-0.
Birchfield HOA water account / Middlefork water system: Geoff Soderquist suggested writing off
charges related to the water fountain at Birchfield.
Commissioner Brummer made a motion to
• Write off all charges associated with Account #40016;
• Adjust the account balance to zero as an administrative correction;
• Permanently close the irrigation account associated with Meter #60529864;
• Leave the physical meter in place for structural and system configuration purposes; and
• Treat this action as an administrative correction and inactive account resolution rather than a
service-related loss, all as outlined in the Public Works memo.
Commissioner Pollock seconded. Motion passed 2-0.
Fairgrounds hazardous trees report: Becky Butler said an arborist has reviewed conditions at the
fairgrounds and has recommended pruning and removal of specific trees.
The commissioners directed staff to move forward with all of the arborist’s recommendations, as
outlined in the attached, and to direct staff to work with the CFP for funding.
Amend Business Meeting agenda: Commissioner Brummer made a motion to add to the May 12, 2026,
BOCC Business Meeting Resolution 26-154: Approve a collective bargaining agreement (Appendix 103)
for Teamsters Local #252, representing Lewis County Supervisors, for January 1, 2026, through
December 31, 2028. Commissioner Pollock seconded. Motion passed 2-0.
Opportunity Zones: Not discussed.
Calendars: Commissioner Pollock said she will attend the May 18 Fire Commissioners’ meeting in
Onalaska.
