LEWIS COUNTY, WASHINGTON

WHEREAS, Logan Hill Road, MP 0.49, in Section 12, Township 13 North, Range 2 West, W M ,
requires repair due to a slide which occurred during the December, 2015 Severe Winter Storm FEMA
4253 DR-WA, and
WHEREAS, the slide repair will require additional road right of way from two adjacent property
owners, and
WHEREAS, the slide repair is necessary and will benefit the public, and
WHEREAS, RCW 8.08.010 authorizes counties to acquire property when deemed necessary by
the Board of County Commissioners, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the requirements of RCW 8.08, this resolution instructs the County
Engineer to acquire right of way as shown on the attached Exhibit from two property owners along Logan
Hill Road for the project
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the County Engineer is instructed to acquire all
necessary right of way and is authorized to sign documents necessary for the slide repair project on Logan
Hill Road MP 0 49 in Section 12, Township 13 North, Range 2 West, W M , and directs that all such
acquisitions be in accordance with adopted procedure as per Resolution 14-160 and under its eminent
domain authority, as per RCW 8.25 and WAC 458-61A-206 (1c), and pursuant to authority and obligations
of RCW Title 8 notably 8.08, 8.25 and 8.26

Description
A repair is necessary on Logan Hill Road,MP 0.49 near Chehalis due to a slide which occurred during the
December, 2015 Severe Winter Storm, FEMA 4253 DR-WA The project will require additional right of way
from two property owners. RCW Chapter 8 authorizes counties to acquire property when deemed necessary by
the Board of County Commissioners Pursuant to requirements included in RCW Chapter 8,this resolution
instructs the County Engineer to acquire right of way from two property owners along Logan Hill Road for the
project All such acquisition shall be in accordance with adopted procedures per Resolution 14-160
