Manager Erik Martin joined at 9:06 a.m. Alex Brown joined 9:07 a.m. The group discussed replacement of the BOCC carpet. The commissioners supported replacement of the entire floor. Commissioner Fund discussed a critical areas bill WSAC is reviewing. She discussed other topics the state Legislature is reviewing, such as orcas. Commissioner Stamper discussed the Fish Recovery Board’s work collecting data regarding fish and orcas. The group discussed marketing. Commissioner Stamper discussed possible development in the Mineral Lake area. Erik said he would touch base with Community Development. Commissioner Stamper said the first-floor kiosk doesn’t seem to be very user friendly. The group briefly discussed the proposed SR 504 / Highway 12 extension. The group discussed the RES Americas wind project. Erik Martin discussed the county’s review of the draft EIS. He said the review took longer than anticipated because of inconsistencies in the report. Erik said Community Development likely will submit its comments within the next day or so. The group discussed an office thank you for Facilities. The group discussed correspondence received regarding Initiative 1639. Commissioner Fund said lodging tax revenue has increased substantially. She said Homeless Connect attracted several participants. Meeting ended at 9:42 a.m.
