The commissioners reviewed applications received for
vacancies on the Public Facilities District (PFD) board, Fire
District 17, the Fair Advisory Commission and the Lodging Tax
Advisory Committee (LTAC).
Commissioner Jackson said Derrick Wojcik-Damers has
resigned from PFD, creating a second vacancy on the board.
The commissioners said they would open up the process again
to fill the District 2 vacancy. They supported appointing Tom
Crowson to the District 3 vacancy.
Commissioner Fund made a motion to appoint Dennis Day to Fire District 17. Commissioner Stamper
seconded. Motion passed 3-0.
Commissioner Fund said she would reach out to Tamara Hayes regarding the lone Fair Advisory
Committee applicant.
The commissioners supported appointing Di Morgan to the LTAC. They said they would hold off on filling
the second LTAC vacancy until Commissioner Stamper had a chance to talk with contacts on the east
end of the county.
The commissioners asked Rieva Lester to draft resolutions for the appointments, draft a letter to Fire
District 17 regarding the selection of Dennis Day and to draft a press release regarding the PFD vacancy
in District 2.
