Warren McLeod gave the following year-to-date statistics: 247 deaths – including three homicides, three
suicides, nine accidentals, two undetermineds and one pending.
Warren said the April dig class was canceled due to health reasons.
The county has performed on indigent cremation already in 2019. He said he had budgeted for one for
the year.
Warren gave a brief legislative update. He said Senate’s vital stats bill would provide funding for training.
He said the subpoena powers bills also appears to be close to passage.
Warren said he issued a call for legal bids for decedent removals.
He discussed creating an RFQ for pathologists.
