2019-04-17 Directors UpdateDirectors’ Update April 17, 2019 9:18 a.m. Present: Commissioner Stamper, Commissioner Fund, County Manager Erik Martin, Josh Metcalf, Lee Napier, Steve Wohld, Danette York, Archie Smith, Steve Walton, Steve Mansfield, Becky Butler, Lara McRea, Gary Fredricks, Doug Carey, Wayne Whiton Guest: Susan DeLaire Recorder: Rieva Lester Josh Metcalf discussed a notice regarding the extended closure of a portion of Salmon Creek Road in Toledo to all through traffic. He said FEMA is providing funding. Josh Metcalf discussed a notice regarding the proposed sale of timber on county-owned property located off Bear Canyon Road near Morton. Josh noted the trees have been deemed “danger trees.” He said the value is roughly $22,000. Archie Smith discussed a resolution regarding Lewis County and Lewis County Corrections Guild overtime calculations. Danette York discussed approving Amendment C to a contract between Lewis County and Reliable Enterprises. Danette York discussed approving Amendment C to a contract between Lewis County and Housing Resource Center. Danette York discussed approving Amendment C to a contract between Lewis County and Human Response Network. Becky Butler discussed a hearing for the 1st 2019 Budget Amendment for Current Expense and other funds. She said the totals will be updated later in the day. Steve Wohld noted he was holding the IT resolution that had been on the Directors’ Update agenda. Commissioner Fund made a motion to move two Notice items, two Consent items, four Deliberation items and one Hearing to the Monday, April 22, 2019, BOCC agenda. Commissioner Stamper seconded the motion. Motion passed 2-0. Roundtable Rieva Lester noted that employee recognition will take place April 22. Commissioner Stamper and Commissioner Fund signed a corrected version of Resolution 19-107. Erik Martin said Public Works will receive an award the following week for its Coal Creek project. Lee Napier said she would attend OMB later in the day. Lee said the Planning Commission will hold OPMA training at 6 p.m. June 11. Steve Wohld said he wants offices and departments to think about what their needs would be if the county campus was inaccessible, such as a flood or earthquake. He said examples include phone, email and Internet services. Danette York gave an update on personnel. She noted she will be on vacation beginning April 22. Danette said her department has created a one-page strategic map. Josh said he’ll have an interlocal with Water-Sewer District 5 to add to the April 22 agenda. Commissioner Fund reminded the group that administrative assistant’s week is the following week. Meeting ended at 9:54 a.m.
