Mary Kay Nelson discussed a desire to update the White Pass Scenic Byway signs, as well as adding
signs.
She continued by discussing the changes which would need to be made to the signs.
The group discussed sign locations throughout the county.
Commissioner Stamper noted Tacoma Power has shown an interest in sponsoring a sign at the scenic
overlook on Highway 12 in Randle.
Mary Kay asked about the possibility of the County roads department creating the signs.
The group further discussed potential changes to the byway signs.
Commissioner Fund asked about adding a QR code to the signs.
Commissioner Stamper asked about involving Tamara Hayes, Discover Lewis County, in the project
development of countywide signage with the possibility of a joint proposal with the White Pass Scenic
Byway.
The group discussed additions to the current signs.
Commissioner Jackson added he would like to see communities like Pe Ell be added.
Mary Kay asked about the dollar amount which needs to be requested.
