Commissioner Jackson called the meeting to order.
Shad Hail moved to approve the June minutes, Daleyn Coleman seconded the motion.
Becky Butler discussed the interviews for the strategic planning process.
Commissioner Fund discussed the upcoming Legislative Roundtable. She continued by outlining various
potential agenda topics for the roundtable. Commissioner Fund also added information on the status of
public disclosure in the Legislature.
Steve Mansfield discussed emergency preparedness improvements in response to the power outage last
Friday. Steve reiterated the importance of employees being enrolled in Lewis County Alert. Steve also
discussed what is in his emergency preparedness pack.
Janelle Kambich noted concerns with the stairwells in the L&J during a power outage.
Doug Carey said it is related to the new and old prox card systems. Doug Carey also continued by stating
there is a need to have a separate discussion on building safety during power outages.
Becky Butler gave an overview of the current budget process. She also outlined there is not enough new
revenue to keep up with the expenditures. She reminded the group about an upcoming budget training.
Erik Martin also reiterated 2020 will be a tough budget year. Becky also mentioned Munis will also be a
new cost included in the rates.
Megan Sibbert gave an update on the Munis payroll transition.
Erik Martin announced starting next month the focus of ESC will be to get electeds meeting with the
BOCC to discuss strategic planning.
Steve Wohld announced IT will be setting the intranet as employees’ homepage.
