Bill Teitzel said work is being done to create a sound barrier on Hale Road in Winlock.
Bill said the new code compliance specialist has submitted his resignation. He noted that the staffing
shortage may affect discussions regarding Shelton Road.
Jim Merhaut asked whey landowners are allowed to apply for and receive building permits when their
property taxes are in arrears. The commissioners said they would discuss that question – and possible
code compliance updates – with the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
Bill gave updates on code compliance calls (see attached).

Bill finished providing updates on code compliance complaints and shared information about the
following:
Fire Mountain Farms is looking to use biosolids on its Lewis County units.
Washington On-Site Sewage Association and Lewis County Public Health and Social Services will
conduct a joint onsite training effort for sewer installers in November.
Bill discussed a Randle property owner has been cited for animals at large as the owner’s cattle has been
on the neighbor’s property.
Bill said he would meet with Napavine’s Community Development team later in the week.
