Becky Butler outlined revenues ($596,530) and expenditures ($3,308,336) for the Prosecuting Attorney’s
Office. She said the PA’s Office is asking for an additional $100,000 to cover interpreters, attorney fees,
etc.
Jonathan Meyer discussed his office’s budgetary needs. He said the office saw a record number of felony
cases in 2018 – 1,000 – and that his office is on track to surpass that year to date.
Jonathan discussed the problems he sees with the county’s interfund rates as well as the high costs
associated with involuntary treatment cases.
Jonathan outlined the various budget challenges his office faces. He also discussed difficulties with
employee retention linked to limited resources.
Jonathan discussed the creation of the Mental Health Alternative.
