Steve Skinner gave a brief history on the Solid Waste Disposal
District, including its creation, service area and funding
sources.
Josh Metcalf noted that an RFP has been released to develop
a feasibility study for the transfer station.
Steve outlined the challenges linked to recycling.
The group discussed Solid Waste’s estimated revenues ($2,975,725) and expenditures ($2,984,125) for
2020.
The group discussed Solid Waste Disposal District’s estimated revenues ($6,895,800) and expenditures
($7,496,644) for 2020.
Steve said Solid Waste has seen a downward trend in grant funding available.
Betsy Dillin provided an overview of the Vader Water Utility, including its projected revenue ($315,930)
and expenditures ($315,982) for 2020.
Betsy discussed improvement projects at the treatment plant.
