Larry Grove provided an overview of the functions of the Auditor’s Office.
Chief Accountant Suzette Smith discussed the Financial Services department. Suzette discussed
retention requirements and the costs associated with meeting those needs.
Becky Butler discussed the implementation of Tyler Technology’s Munis system.
Suzette and Larry discussed the office’s request for additional funding totaling $5,433 to cover extended
maintenance on the office’s S400.
Tom Stanton gave an overview of the Elections Department. He discussed costs associated with
installing ballot drop boxes as well as costs associated with providing prepaid postage.
Tom and Larry discussed the state’s refusal to pay for its fair share of elections costs during even years.
Larry discussed the costs associated with the new ballot boxes, including the $32,000 initial costs and
the ongoing costs associated with locking and then emptying the ballot boxes.
Larry discussed same-day voter registration.
