Wayne Whiton suggested the board deny the tort claim submitted by Jonathan Michael Mathews.
Commissioner Stamper made a motion to deny the tort claim filed by Jonathan Michael Mathews.
Commissioner Fund seconded.
Motion passed 2-0.
Wayne and Paulette Young briefed the commissioners on a tort claim filed by Carla Shannon.
Wayne said Casey Mauermann is working on the county’s Joint Legislative Audit Review Committee
(JLARC) report, which is due June 30.
Wayne and Tawni Shepherd said only one elected official has not yet signed on to the county’s public
disclosure policy.
No budget update.
Wayne discussed the lack of Emergency Action Plan (EAP) drills. Paulette said the only piece left to
address is which agency will clear the buildings.
Paulette said a county computer is on its way to her. She said she plans to visit Lewis County for a week
soon. She and Wayne said they would create an outline of their discussion points.
Tawni said she attended the WSIA conference the previous week. She said she is scheduled to attend
the PRIMA conference the first week in June. Wayne said he will address heat illness with departments
and offices.
Wayne said he would attend the upcoming “Roadeo.”
