2018-06-06 Directors UpdateDirectors’ Update June 6, 2018 9:02 a.m. Present: Commissioner Fund (by phone), Commissioner Jackson (by phone), Commissioner Stamper, Erik Martin, Lee Napier, Wayne Whiton, Gary Fredricks, Steve Wohld, Tim Murphy, Lee Napier, Steve Walton, Steve Mansfield Guest: Susan DeLaire Recorder: Rieva Lester Erik Martin discussed a call for sealed bids for the Prairie Creek Culvert Replacement Project (Bunker Creek Rd MP 5.678), CMP 1604. Commissioner Stamper discussed designations and related appointments with the Washington Counties Risk Pool. Tim Murphy discussed a declaration of certain vehicles as surplus county property and notice of intent to sell. Erik Martin discussed approving an interlocal agreement between Lewis County and City of Centralia regarding work by county crews and authorizing signatures thereon. Lee Napier discussed a public hearing to approve draft Critical Areas Ordinance 1284. Danette York joined at 9:10 a.m. Commissioner Fund made a motion to move one (1) Notice item, two (2) Consent items, three (3) Deliberation items and one (1) Hearing to the Monday, June 11, 2018, BOCC agenda. Commissioner Stamper seconded the motion. Motion passed 3-0. Commissioner Jackson left the meeting at 9:12 a.m. Commissioner Fund left at 9:16 a.m. Tim Murphy said he will report to the state his findings that switching to alternative fuels would not be cost effective for Lewis County. Danette York said she has hired a new employee. Danette said she would be at a conference the following week. Becky Butler said rates are due back June 11, as are budget amendments. Steve Walton invited the group to the upcoming Barn Bash, planned for June 16. Gary Fredricks introduced himself. He said he’ll be in Lewis County on Mondays and Wednesdays. Steve Wohld said he has hired a new developer. Wayne Whiton said he is working on a heat illness prevention plan. Erik Martin discussed a late addition for a bid award. Lee Napier said Community Development’s new counter will be installed June 18. Steve Mansfield said he is exploring alarm fees. Meeting ended at 9:35 a.m.
