He said he’ll forward it on to Archie Smith. The group discussed possible future meetings for Erik: • With Michael Wager of The Chronicle • On the Let’s Talk About It radio show • With Commissioner Stamper and Buck (timber meeting) Erik said he would like to begin laying the groundwork for a strategic plan in the fall. Erik discussed workflow in the BOCC office, including bringing in an office manager, which was included in the budget. The commissioners noted that they will attend fewer meetings together, though they’ll still all attend the weekly Directors’ Update meetings and the weekly BOCC Wrap-Up meetings as well as the BOCC updates with the electeds. Commissioner Jackson said he’d like to see meetings limited to once a month for directors an electeds unless additional meetings are needed. The group discussed scheduling quarterly updates with County Clerk Scott Tinney. Erik discussed succession plans for Public Works. He said he would like to hire someone on an interim basis before hiring his permanent replacement. Erik said he has spoken with Becky Butler about the upcoming budget amendment. Commissioner Stamper said he’d like to see the BOCC develop a weekly or monthly informational announcement to share with the public and media. Commissioner Fund said Susie Parker likely would be interested in weighing in. Commissioner Fund said she’d like to see a draft work plan with timelines.
