Jon Kaino said the renewal board is planned for Aug. 10. He said ancillary plans are expected to see 1
percent or 2 percent rate increases. Rates for vision plans may decrease, he said. Jon said the base life
insurance will increase from $50,000 to $150,000. He said disability also will have a guaranty issue for
disability too.
Jon discussed higher-deductible HSAs.
Commissioner Fund left at 2:56 p.m.
Jon said WCIF is looking at a Delta plan, an EAP plan with First Choice and hospital illness and critical
injury plans through MetLife.
Jon said it’s looking like there will be a single-digit renewal for medical plans.
Commissioner Jackson said it sounds like PEBB’s increase may be substantial for 2019.
