2018-09-10 BOCC Wrap-UpBOCC Wrap-Up Meeting September 10, 2018 9 a.m. Present: Commissioner Fund, Commissioner Jackson, Commissioner Stamper, County Manager Erik Martin, Budget Services Manager Becky Butler Guests: Alex Brown of The Chronicle, Lindsey Pollock (9:10 a.m.) Recorder: Rieva Lester Commissioner Jackson made a motion to add the approval of an interlocal agreement between the county and Boistfort Valley to the day’s legislative agenda. Commissioner Stamper seconded the motion. Motion passed 3-0. The commissioners said the county would allocate $400,000 for 2019 lodging tax funding and would send the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee members a memo indicating such. Becky Butler left at 9:09 a.m. Lindsay Pollock joined the meeting at 9:10 a.m. The group briefly discussed the county’s work regarding a dangerous dog situation in Mossyrock. The group discussed special purpose districts’ concerns with Munis and staffing in the Auditor’s Office. The group discussed the county’s clean audit from the State Auditor’s Office. Commissioner Stamper suggested having Larry Grove send a letter to the special purpose districts affected by the implementation of Munis. Erik Martin said he would speak with Larry. Erik said he has received a draft comment letter on the EIS for the Skookumchuck wind project. He said he and Commissioner Stamper met with Sean Bell of RES Americas the previous Friday. Commissioner Fund said the Office of the Chehalis Basin will give a presentation on Sept. 19. The group briefly discussed the Public Facilities District and noted that the commissioners would like to discuss the topic with the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office during the next scheduled update. The group discussed outreach regarding the commissioners’ individual meetings. The group briefly discussed personnel, including recent vacancies.
