2018-09-17 Update with County ManagerUpdate with County Manager Monday, September 17, 2018 8:30 a.m. Attendees: Commissioner Stamper, Commissioner Fund, Commissioner Jackson, Erik Martin, Lara McRea, Steve Walton Guest: Jan Robinson Recorders: Rachel Hunt and Rieva Lester Erik Martin introduced Jan Robinson from the Chehalis Basin Land Trust. She mentioned an event at which they would welcome having the BOCC and/or Erik speak. Steve Walton briefed the BOCC on changes in security in the Law and Justice Center. He continued by outlining the cost of these changes. Erik Martin also briefly discussed updates to the security plan. The group further discussed the costs related to the increase in security. CFP- KMB consultant approval for a master Capital Facilities Plan. Steve Walton discussed with the BOCC the details of the proposal. Commissioner Jackson discussed the positives of the quality of the proposal presented to Capital Facilities Committee. The BOCC told Erik and Steve to move forward with this. Erik discussed the need for new mattresses and tables at juvenile. Erik mentioned a future meeting with the Skookumchuck Wind Energy group. Erik discussed an upcoming meeting with Chehalis regarding 911. Commissioner Fund stepped out of the meeting at 8:58 a.m. Rachel Hunt left and Rieva Lester joined at 8:58 a.m. Commissioner Fund returned at 8:59 a.m. The commissioners asked Erik Martin to respond to the Area 7 grievance. The commissioners said they would review the Developmental Disabilities Millage funding. Erik said he would provide to Matt Matayoshi a list of the county’s communitywide legislative agenda. The commissioners identified their top topics as the Chehalis Basin, jail medical, DNR timber revenue and culverts. Erik said he would discuss the Centralia College intern with Daleyn Coleman and Archie Smith. Meeting ended at 9:17 a.m.
