Anderson, Wayne Whiton, Steve Wohld, Becky Butler, Steve Walton, Steve Mansfield, Gary Fredricks, Bill Wamsley, Lara McRea, Doug Carey Guest: Linda Williams Recorder: Rieva Lester The group discussed a proclamation honoring senior centers. Rieva Lester noted that the Weed Assessment notice of hearing was not yet moving forward. Steve Walton and Doug Carey discussed a resolution naming the selection of Consultant to Provide Architectural and Engineering Services- Capital Facilities Plan. Steve Walton discussed a Quarterly Declaration of Surplus Personal Property. J.P. Anderson discussed a resolution to approve Negotiating Contracts to Award DD Millage Funds to Local Agencies. J.P. Anderson discussed a resolution to approve contract between Lewis County and Compass Career Solutions for employment services. J.P. Anderson discussed a resolution to approve contracts between Lewis County and Reliable Enterprises, Morningside, and Lewis County Work Opportunities for Employment Services. Rieva Lester and Tim Fife discussed a resolution to rescind Resolution 18-279 and approve a business contract with the Boistfort Valley Water Corporation for reimbursable work and authorizing signatures thereon. Becky Butler discussed a hearing for the 3rd 2018 Budget Amendment for Current Expense and Other Funds. Commissioner Jackson made a motion to move one Proclamation, two Consent items, six Deliberation items and one Hearing to the Monday, Sept. 24, 2018, BOCC agenda and to allow Commissioner Fund to sign the business contract with the Boistfort Valley Water Corporation prior to the passage of that resolution. Commissioner Fund seconded the motion. Motion passed 2-0. Roundtable Steve Walton said Fair and Facilities picnic is scheduled for Friday. Steve Wohld said IT will have a software development intern. J.P. Anderson discussed the upcoming Veterans’ Summit. He said Public Health and Social Services is releasing an RFP for homeless prevention. Lee Napier discussed a conference she attended the previous week. Erik Martin noted that David Fine was taking a six-month leave of absence. Bill Wamsley said the Weed Assessment notice of hearing likely would be on the agenda Sept. 31. Commissioner Jackson commended Steve Mansfield for his work on the interlocal agreement. Commissioner Fund said she would like a report on quarterly objectives Oct. 3. She said she plans to visit Washington, D.C., noting that she’ll be paying her own way. Meeting ended at 10:03 a.m.
