9:10 a.m.)

Commissioner Fund and Commissioner Jackson discussed indigent defense, bills headed to Gov. Inslee’s
desk, and the week’s calendar.
Commissioner Jackson made a motion to move one Consent item to and remove one Consent item from
the Monday, April 10, 2017, BOCC agenda.
Commissioner Fund seconded the motion.
Motion passed 3-0.
The commissioners discussed how WSU travel expenses are paid.
Commissioner Jackson discussed his meeting with Mark Anders regarding the Port of Chehalis interlocal
agreement.
The group discussed the creation of a dam.
The commissioners discussed the PDR bill in the Legislature. Commissioner Fund discussed state money
for Winlock. The commissioners also discussed a bill requiring ballot boxes and the stress that would
place on counties as an unfunded mandate. They discussed the need for a bill to correct some aspects of
the bill.
The commissioners discussed flood mitigation payments and a leadership study.
Commissioner Stamper left at 9:51 a.m.
Commissioner Fund and Commissioner Jackson asked CJ Neer if she might be interested in serving on
the Public Facilities District. She said she would be interested.
Meeting ended at 9:55 a.m.
