Budget
- Funds tracking within limits overall, Steve said fluctuations are normal.
Fiscal
- Interim Fiscal Office Manager – Both candidates have shown interest. Steve decided to split the time between
the two people creating a savings from the change in pay grades.
Commissioner Stamper stepped out of the meeting at 2:40 p.m. and reentered at 2:41 p.m.
- Risk rates – the group discussed the possibility of Fiscal handling Risk’s quarterly rates.
Facilities
-Steve outlined the projects currently being worked on throughout the county.
- City law repeater site easements in hand, work to begin soon. Scott Matoon will be ordering the tower. Steve
discussed the easement issues.
- Health building remodel getting to final stages, facilities crews are also working at the fairgrounds
- L&J Building roof sealing bid in, received one bid which was considerably higher than expected. The vendor is
reviewing the price.
- Jail boilers arrived, the facilities department is currently coordinating when it would be best to install them.
- CFP items for BOCC approval: none
Fair
- Fair Commission positions- the group discussed the vacant positions on the commission
- Caretaker positions- the group discussed new requirements for the next person to be the caretaker.
Considerable amount of work was done at the fairgrounds since last year. New kiosks and signs are ready to be
installed.
-Steve Walton noted that ticket sales have been going well online.
Finance System
- Process training last week, next training session will be September 19th.
