Lee Napier discussed a notice of public hearing to consider Ordinance 1315.
Josh Metcalf and Amber Smith discussed a notice of hearing for a franchise to Woden LLC to operate
and maintain telecommunications facilities in Lewis County rights of way.
Josh discussed a notice for the necessary acquisition of additional right of way for Snyder Road,
Packwood.
Josh discussed a call for bids for the material purchase of a precast concrete slab/girder bridge.
Josh discussed a call for bids for the South Lewis County Airport (TDO) 2020 Taxiway Improvement
Project.
Rieva Lester discussed the cancellation of delinquent personal property and mineral rights taxes.
Doug Carey discussed a resolution to accept a grant for the restoration and preservation of the Historic
Lewis County Courthouse.
Josh Metcalf discussed a resolution to appoint Josh Metcalf as the Director of Emergency Management.
Josh discussed a resolution to close a Columbia Bank Petty Cash Fund ending in 0913.
Josh discussed a resolution to approve a Recreation Grant Agreement between Tacoma Power and
Lewis County for the Cowlitz River Public Access Point Project.
Rieva Lester discussed a resolution to appoint Donna Moody to the Lewis County Citizens' Commission
on Salaries for Elected Officials (Salary Commission).
Doug Carey discussed a resolution to accept a grant from the Washington State Department of
Agriculture Fairs Program toward a remodel of the main restrooms on the Southwest Washington
Fairgrounds.
Daleyn Coleman discussed a resolution to a Corrections Sergeants and Lieutenant collective bargaining
agreement (CBA).
John Abplanalp discussed an ordinance to adopt legislation to authorize a sales and use tax for
affordable and supportive housing in accordance with Substitute House Bill 1406.
Commissioner Fund made a motion to move five notice items, two consent items, eight deliberation
items and one hearing to the Monday, Jan. 27, 2020, BOCC agenda.
Commissioner Jackson seconded the motion.
Motion passed 3-0.
Roundtable
Lara McRea reminded the group to share details of the Vision 2025 community survey.
Doug Carey said repairs are being made to the courthouse masonry.
Daleyn Coleman discussed FMLA and Washington State Paid Family Leave. Commissioner Stamper asked
for a written breakdown of the information. Erik asked Daleyn to work with Kevin McDowell to create an
FAQ.
Matt Jaeger gave an update on the Spillman upgrade.
John Abplanalp said the Homeless Connect homeless event is taking place Jan. 23 and 24.
Josh Metcalf said Public Works will have a late add for Jan. 27 regarding a load rating for a bridge on
Frase Road. Josh said the Purple Heart County sign dedication is planned for Jan. 27.
Amber Smith said the county has little information about Diking and Drainage District 1. She said
interested individuals could reach out to the Spragues, who had served on the commission in the past.
Lee Napier discussed upcoming Planned Growth Committee meetings. Commissioner Stamper said he
would attend.
Becky Butler said no late budget meetings have been scheduled. She noted that the salary table has
been posted on the intranet.
Erik Martin discussed a salary study that will take place in 2020.
Commissioner Jackson discussed a recent meeting regarding the South County Park.
