Becky Butler said Ron Averill has said the Lewis County Seniors
group does not want to share financial information beyond the
senior nutrition program and therefore did not want to sign
the agreement with the county.
Becky said the East Lewis County PDA will meet Jan. 14.
The commissioners reviewed their boards and committees and
made the following changes:
• Remove Tourism Lewis County.
• Remove PAC from Commissioner Jackson.
• Move Open Space Benefits Board to Commissioner Jackson.
• Keep Commissioner Jackson as ESC chair.
• Add AFRC to Commissioner Stamper.
Candace Hallom left at 9:14 a.m.
The commissioners said they’d like to set up a meeting with HR to discuss the County Manager
evaluation. Commissioner Fund asked Erik Martin to review his goals for 2020.
Commissioner Jackson said SWCAA met Jan. 2 and announced that TransAlta faces a $103,460 fine for a
repeat violation.
The group discussed communication / correspondence:
• The commissioners said they’ve asked Bill Teitzel and Steve Skinner’s successor to draft a
comment regarding the Department of Ecology’s five-year plan.
• Commissioner Fund discussed a congratulatory letter to Churchill Glove. The commissioners
signed the letter.
• Erik said he would reach out to Jack Fuller regarding his concerns about the noise ordinance.
• The group discussed a letter from Bill Logan.
• The group discussed a letter from Stephen Padula regarding Bateaux Cellars in Toledo.
Commissioner Stamper said he would miss the meeting with Community Development later in the day.
