Commissioner Jackson opened the meeting.
Organizational changes
Erik Martin discussed organizational changes in Lewis County. He provided copies of the new
organizational chart and reviewed the organizational changes with the group.
Jonathan Meyer asked what the costs, associated with the changes.
Erik Martin stated it is around $30,000 to $50,000 in savings.
Capital Facilities plan
Erik Martin discussed the Capital Facilities Plan and the master plan put together by KMB consultants.
Shad Hail discussed the needs for the Juvenile Justice Center.
Commissioner Stamper joined the meeting at 8:30 a.m.
Erik Martin continued discussing/reviewing the Lewis County Master plan.
Strategic Planning website and survey
Erik Martin discussed the Vision 2025 survey.
Lara McRea explained the survey outreach efforts.
Erik Martin discussed the plan for after the survey is complete. Once all the information is complete the
BOCC will work with the consultants on implementing the vision of Lewis County. The goal is to have
implementation plans in place by the end of 2020.
Jonathan Meyer asked the Board if they would be looking at the employee salary grid since the
consultant is not looking into it.
Erik Martin stated the employee salary grid is a consideration. Lewis County will be looking into it.
The elected officials agreed that they would like a meeting to discuss employee recruitment and
salaries.
