2020-02-24 Code Enforcement UpdateCode Enforcement Update February 24, 2020 2:34 p.m. Present: Commissioner Stamper, Commissioner Fund, Commissioner Jackson, County Manager Erik Martin, Bill Teitzel, John Abplanalp Guest: Dr. Lindsey Pollock Recorder: Rieva Lester Bill Teitzel provided updates about the following properties: 122 State Route 506, Toledo: New owner has purchased the property and is cleaning it up. 773 Winlock Vader Rd., Winlock: Property owner has been making headway with cleanup efforts. 1468 Rush Rd., Chehalis: Solid waste and RV habitation continues to be an issue. 405 Leudinghaus Rd., Chehalis: Owner and tenant have been warned that commercial use will result in citations. 3677 Centralia-Alpha Rd., Onalaska: New owners are cleaning up the solid waste and have removed the deck. 185 Pine Tree Rd., Toledo: The home made of cargo containers is not permitted, but the home made of straw is permitted. The septic is permitted, too. 137 Kiona Rd., Randle: Owner continues to voice concerns about flooding. 242B US Highway 12, Chehalis: Owner has been cited for solid waste, junk vehicles and RV occupancy issues. 1339 Centralia Alpha Rd., Chehalis: Owner has been issued a second civil infraction for severe solid waste issues. 250 Logan Hill Rd., Chehalis: Fill was dumped near critical areas. 1869 Big Hanaford Rd., Centralia: Owner has been issued a second civil infraction for construction and occupation of an unpermitted home and septic. 1229 N. Military Rd., Winlock: Property owner has been issued an infraction for unpermitted building construction and solid waste. There is an ongoing criminal investigation into animal cruelty. GE Toledo Farms on Jackson Highway in Toledo: Company has said it will return the property to its former state. 116-14 Alder Ridge, Curtis: Owner is selling property with illegal land division and an unpermitted residence. Buyer has been informed. 131 Gray Rd., Toledo: New neighbors have concerns about solid waste, junk vehicles and animal issues. 124 and 132 Elma Dr.: Continued Group B water and drinking water violations. 105 Morris Rd., Randle: Individual with power of attorney has taken over the property and is cleaning it up. 430 Winston Creek Rd., Mossyrock: Animal cruelty complaint was unfounded but there is an issue with ag waste seeping into the nearby creek. 125 Dorning Rd., Winlock: Neighborhood dispute about where dog feces is being dumped and about placement and condition of fence. Park ‘n Ride at Mellen in Centralia: Bill said there is no septic discharge. He noted that it’s not in county jurisdiction. He said he will seek permission to access the site.
