Ratify executed amendment to agreement with Dept of Ecology, Construction of Water Stations BEFORE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
LEWIS COUNTY, WASHINGTON
IN THE MATTER OF: RESOLUTION NO. 20-132
RATIFY AN EXECUTED AMENDMENT TO THE
AGREEMENT BETWEEN LEWIS COUNTY AND THE
DEPARTMENT OF ECOLOGY FOR THE
CONSTRUCTION OF WATER STATIONS FOR
EMERGENCY USE IN LEWIS COUNTY
WHEREAS, Public Works has received grant funding administered through Department
of Ecology (DOE) to construct three water stations for public use on an emergency-only
basis; and
WHEREAS, the original end date of the grant was April 3, 2020; and
WHEREAS, due the unforeseen circumstances caused by the COVID-19 stay-at-home
orders, DOE has granted an extension to the agreement end date to June 30, 2020; and
WHEREAS, the County Engineer has executed the amendment so it is returned to DOE
in a timely fashion.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED The BOCC has determined that proceeding with
the Amendment for the Water Station Construction Grant is in the best public interest
and hereby approves the County Engineer to sign.
