John Abplanalp said a patient in their 50s in District 1. He said five more patients have recovered,
pushing the total number of recovered patients to 31.
Erik Martin said the county is continuing to prepare to reopen the following week, contingent on the
state Department of Health’s approval that the county move to Phase 3.
Ed Mund reviewed a draft of the county’s Phase 3 request.
Erik Martin outlined steps that should be taken once the state approves the county to move to Phase 3:
• Contact Erik Martin
• Erik will reach out to the commissioners (by phone)
• Ed Mund will send out a press release and will post information about Stage 3 requirements for
businesses
• The commissioners would like to have the information shared on their Facebook page
Commissioner Stamper asked about Hazel’s Pieway 12, which had been closed because they “don’t have
an official kitchen” and therefore “can’t be called a restaurant.” John Abplanalp said it appeared the
company had opened before it obtained a food permit but that it seems to be working on a solution.
Steve Walton outlined a COVID-19 work plan / policy for county employees.
Steve said the policy addresses things such as social distancing, office liaisons and mask use and is
broken into three main parts:
• Employee responsibility
• Employer responsibility
• Training guidance
